P.I.T.

Our youngest Printer In Training - Ainsley. If you've been around the shop since 2020 you've seen this cute little face. Most of the time, she's a great help and does great work for a sucker or freeze pop.

Manual VS Automatic

Screen printing is a versatile and popular method for producing high-quality apparel and promotional items. One key decision for any print shop is whether to use a manual or automatic press—each has its advantages, depending on the needs of the job and the scale of the business.

A manual screen printing press is operated by hand and is ideal for smaller runs, specialty prints, and businesses just starting out. It offers greater control and flexibility, especially when working on unique or multi-layered designs that require hands-on adjustment. Manual presses are cost-effective, require less space, and allow us to develop strong craftsmanship skills. A majority of the time this press is used by Christene (the younger, more nimble and fit of the two printers we currently have).  ** Pictured is our youngest printer in training. In contrast, an automatic press uses hydraulic systems to automate the printing process. This equipment is best suited for high-volume orders, as it dramatically increases speed, consistency, and efficiency. Automatic presses reduce physical strain and human error, producing uniform prints with minimal effort. This press is used by Kevin (the OG of the company with the most seniority).

Choosing between manual and automatic screen printing presses depends on production needs, budget, and business goals. Our shop utilizes both to balance flexibility with efficiency, allowing us to handle a wide range of jobs.
